Weng Meng Industries Sdn, Bhd has, since its inception in 1979, become the largest manufacturer and supplier of wooden drums for cables and steel wire ropes in Malaysia.

We have the capacity and the resources to produce in excess of 10,000 pieces of wooden drums of different specifications and sizes per month.

In addition, Weng Meng’s client can also opt to purchase only the wooden flanges.

We have a well-equipped painting facility which can, if required, paint the wooden drums according to the client’s colour specifications.

Majority of Weng Meng’s wooden drums are produced for the wire and cable industry in Malaysia. Our client list include local cable giants such as Uniphone, Olympic, Power Cable Malaysia, Federal Power, Fujikura, Furukawa, Leader Cable, Universal Cable and Gunung Petaling.

While the focus is to meet local demands, we have also been expanding our capabilities to meet overseas orders. To date, our wooden drums have been exported to Australia, China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Taiwan and the United Arab Emirates.
